GEAPS-NGFA Grain Quality Management Seminar Announced
June 1, 2009
In grain operations, the success and profitability of a company can hinge on the quality of its stored grain. From elevator to seller, managing the quality of stored grain affects selling price, operating costs, company reputation, and more. Challenges to maintaining grain quality occur regardless of company size, geography, or climate, but all effective solutions come from the same place: education.
To address the ongoing challenges of grain quality management, GEAPS and the NGFA will host a two-day educational conference this summer aimed at instilling employees with the best information available on various topics in grain-quality management. The GEAPS-NGFA Operations, Management & Technology Grain Quality Management Seminar “Protecting Businesses with Practical Solutions to Grain Quality Challenges” will take place July 28-29 in St. Louis.
“We choose to focus on grain-quality management every other year because as long as there is a grain industry, this topic is going to be important, relevant, and timely,” said GEAPS International president Buzz Tourangeau. “Once again, this year we have tapped into the collective resources of GEAPS and the NGFA to put together another knowledgeable faculty and a program filled with the best information available on grain quality management. “
