Innovative Ways of Dealing with Combustible Dusts

Powder & Bulk Solids presents “Innovative Ways of Dealing with Combustible Dusts” as part of its free DryPro series of webinars, November 29, 2016, at 2pm Eastern (11am Pacific).

Jonathan F. Hale, MPA, president, Air Systems Corp. will provide an approach to explosive dust prevention from a perspective that doesn’t get much press. NFPA standards emphasize prescriptive engineering techniques that have been proven to mitigate unsafe combustible dust handling techniques. This webinar will speak to other techniques that remove part of the explosive dust pentagon such as removing oxygen, introducing inerting dust, or using dust collectors that do not have containment.

Attendees will learn the following:
* That there are alternate means of compliance with combustible dust standards that are safe
* Sometimes a dry dust collector is the worst thing to use to remove dust
* A company with a combustible dust MUST do a Dust Hazard Analysis (DHA)
* A DHA can solve your problem and lead to a cheaper, better means of control
