A rising concern in processing operations is the risk of explosions due to dust. Filter applications are telltale indicators that dust is present at a facility, and therefore run the risk of potential costly and deadly explosions. DMN Dust Airlocks are a low-cost, economical valve for use with filter applications such as dust filters, cyclones, hoppers, product separators, and dosing systems. Installing DMN dust airlocks can help minimize the risk of explosions by offering versions that are NFPA 69 compliant and conform to ATEX directive 94/9/EC for explosion containment. Additionally, the valves are pressure shock resistant up to 145 psi and flame-proof for handling St2 products. The standard model is suitable for handling temperatures up to 158°F and a maximum pressure differential up to 7.25 PSI, depending on the model. The DL series is available with inlet sizes of 8, 10, and 12 in.
