U.S. Chemical Safety Board Launches New Agency Web Site
June 24, 2009
Americaneagle.com, a leading Web site design, development, and hosting company, has launched the redeveloped U.S. Chemical Safety Board Web site, located at www.csb.gov.
The U.S. Chemical Safety Board (CSB) site delivers a dynamic online portal for the public to access the agency’s investigations, recommendations, and outreach programs. Along with sophisticated Web 2.0 graphic designs, the site is equipped with a comprehensive content management system powered by Americaneagle.com’s idev solution platform. This platform enables the Board staff to have full control over site management. The site is also equipped with the idev broadcast e-mail tool that enables the agency to extend its outreach by sending news, announcements, events, and other important items to registered users. The administrative end of the site includes a customized investigations tool that allows CSB staff to categorize and tag all dynamic content such as news, events, documents, and videos to a specific agency investigation. Furthermore, the site boasts interactive features such as the latest news feeds and flash videos of chemical accidents and safety procedures, photo galleries, and video feedback.
U.S. Chemical Safety Board chairman John S. Bresland said, “The U.S. Chemical Safety Board strives to be a leader in the online communication of safety information and recommendations. The Web site redesign reflects our ongoing commitment to effective outreach to businesses, workers, and communities who share our goal of preventing chemical accidents and saving lives.”
“The new interactive site promotes the agency’s mission using innovative and cutting end Web site technology,” says Chris Foss, regional director for Americaneagle.com. “Americaneagle.com is proud to have partnered with the U.S. Chemical Safety Board to create a true clearinghouse for all information – reports, photographs, and multimedia – about chemical accident investigations.”
