Turck, a manufacturer of sensors, connectivity, and fieldbus technology for factory, logistics, and process automation, has appointed Aurelio Banda as the next president and chief executive officer of Turck USA. Banda started on July 31.
"The board is pleased to have found such an excellent fit to assume leadership of Turck Inc.," said Dr. Thomas Beck, chairman of the Turck Board of Directors. "Aurelio has an extensive resume with nearly 36 years of experience, mostly focused in the distribution and manufacture of automation components, systems and sub-assemblies. His successful background working for firms active in our industry will be an enormous benefit."
Prior this role, Banda was a senior vice president and group executive at Motion Industries, an automation component distributor. He led the company’s automation and fluid power strategy, and with his team leveraged automation technology and fluid power solutions to help customers streamline their processes and improve manufacturing efficiencies. Prior to Motion Industries, Banda served in executive leadership or CEO roles at PHD Inc. and Beckhoff Automation. Banda was also the owner, president and CEO of automation distributor Controls Plus Inc.
"I'd like to thank the board of directors and everyone else involved in the selection process," said Banda. "I’m honored by the trust they’re placing in me and eager to lead a company with a strong reputation for corporate responsibility, design excellence and customer focus. Any leader would welcome the chance to step into this role, and I’m so pleased to have this tremendous opportunity."
