Dr. Beth Bosley, president of Boron Specialties, will testify before Congress on Tuesday, February 4, on behalf of the Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA) on reforms to Sections 4 and 8 of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).

Dr. Bosley’s company, Boron Specialties, is a specialty chemical manufacturer located near Pittsburgh. She has testified before Congress on TSCA reform multiple times, most recently in June 2013.

“Specialty chemical manufacturers are leading the world in the innovation of new and safer chemistries, and many of these companies are small businesses balancing the demands of a highly competitive global marketplace with their regulatory obligations,” said SOCMA vice president of government and public relations Bill Allmond. “When SOCMA was invited to return to Congress to testify on TSCA reform, there was no question that we would ask Dr. Bosley. She is well-versed on the issue and, as a small business owner, well-suited to provide a perspective that sometimes is overlooked.”
