Founder and previous GM will remain with company in new role
January 9, 2023
Serpa, a leading secondary packaging solutions manufacturer, has named Justin Neece vice president and general manager, replacing Fernando Serpa, who will remain with the company as vice president of technology development.
Neece began his career with Serpa 12 years ago as an intern. From there, he held positions within engineering and operations. He’s worked closely with Fernando Serpa throughout his career.
“I joined Serpa straight out of college. I’m all Serpa,” Neece said. “I’m very excited about our direction and looking forward to continue carrying on the Serpa legacy with the same values established by Fernando.”
“Justin is a very honest person. He’s very loyal to the people he works with,” said Fernando Serpa. “He is a good listener and keeps an open mind. Justin has a very supportive wife and is a good family man. He is ready to go.”
“Justin has an extremely strong work ethic. We are in good hands with Justin’s leadership,” continued Fernando Serpa, who founded the company in 1985.
“This is an exciting moment for Serpa. This is the first time someone else is in charge of the company since Fernando founded it,” added Aaron Metzler, director of sales and applications. “Justin’s mechanical background and his level of creativity make him a great fit to lead Serpa forward.”
Both Fernando Serpa and Metzler expect a smooth transition since Neece has been handling many of the general manager duties throughout 2022.
Neece earned a BA in Mechanical Engineering from California State University in 2011.
Serpa is one of 45 packaging and automation-focused companies of the ProMach family of brands.
