Former Pinnacle Foods Chief Executive Officer Mark A. Clouse is slated to start work in Campbell Soup Company’s top role on this month. The 50-year-old executive was recently named by the Camden, NJ-based firm as its new CEO, according to a recent company announcement.

Clouse will take on the new position on Jan. 22, replacing interim president and CEO Keith McLoughlin. He was also elected to serve on the company’s board of directors. The incoming CEO has worked for more than two decades in the food industry, including tenures at Mondelez International, Kraft Foods, and Pinnacle Foods.

“Mark Clouse is an outstanding leader with a proven track record of operational excellence, and we are excited to name him as Campbell’s next president and CEO,” Les Vinney, chairman of Campbell Soup’s board, said in a statement. “Mark’s leadership as CEO of Pinnacle Foods shows a clear track record of delivering solid revenue and earnings growth and generating significant value for shareholders.”

While occupying the top post at Pinnacle, Clouse assisted in growing or maintaining market share in all of the firm’s top categories, oversaw the integration of Boulder Brands, and helped secure double-digit adjusted EPS growth, according to information from Campbell Soup.

Clouse graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and served with the U.S. Army.
