Conveyor Fire at Eaton Corporation Plant in Arkansas

A fire broke out on a conveyor belt at the Eaton Corp. rubber plant in Mountain Home, AR on Thursday.

Firefighters were dispatched to the Eaton Corporation rubber plant in Mountain Home, AR on Thursday after a fire ignited in a piece of equipment at the facility, accounting to a report by a local radio station.

A Mountain Home Fire Department spokesperson told KTLO that 600-800 lb mass of raw rubber caught on fire on a conveying belt. 18 firefighters worked for about an hour and a half to douse the flames.

The station did not have information on the cause of the blaze or the amount of damages it caused. No injuries were logged during the incident, the radio station said.

Eaton is a provider of power management technologies and services.
