Construction and industrial materials firm Saint-Gobain held a ribbon cutting event Wednesday to highlight the opening of its new CertainTeed Architectural specialty wood ceilings systems manufacturing plant in Strongsville, OH. The facility was relocated from Lakewood, OH, doubling its manufacturing footprint for the products.
“Our new home will provide our team with the necessary manufacturing, storage, and warehouse space needed to invest in our customers, expand our offerings, and continue to be a worldwide leader in light and sustainable construction,” Jay Bachmann, vice president of operations for CertainTeed’s Interior Products Group, said in a company release.
Saint-Gobain’s investment in Ohio will enable it to expand its range of specialty ceiling and wall systems. The state of Ohio supported the project with grants and tax credits. 38 new jobs will be created with the opening of the facility.
