Powder Show Conference Program Set

UBM Canon, in association with Powder/Bulk Solids, has announced the release of the 2012 International Powder and Bulk Solids Conference program set for May 8-11 in Rosemont, IL. Running alongside the PTXI International Expo, it is the largest conference in North America that focuses on material handling, processing, and storage. The bi-annual conference and expo brought more than 5400 attendees in 2010.

Eric Maynard of Jenike and Johanson, a featured presenter at the International Powder & Bulk Solids Conference says, "This May's Powder & Bulk Solids Conference has well-recognized presenters poised to deliver proven, practical, and insightful educational content in the areas of material storage and handling, pneumatic conveying, particle technology, and dust collection and safety. The conference has been structured to meet the needs of engineers new to the field of solids handling, as well as seasoned plant or research personnel. The program will provide both first principles theory for processing and handling of bulk solids and effective operating practices that will help established engineers to further improve plant operating efficiencies.”

Kevin Cronin, editor-in-chief of Powder Bulk/Solids describes, "The Powder & Bulk Solids Conference is comprehensive, thorough, and all-encompassing, and includes presentations from some of the most experienced and expert minds in the dry processing and bulk solids handling industry."

Notable speakers include: Dr. David Mills and Prof. Mark Jones, who will offer sessions that will cover fundamental techniques for pneumatic conveying operation, process selection, and troubleshooting; Dr. Vahid Ebadat, who will lead two sessions that explore the management of electrostatic problems during powder processing, as well as the nature and control of dust explosions; Remi Trottier of The Dow Chemical Co., who will speak about the fundamentals of particle characterization; a research group from Air Products that will offer an interactive workshop on the cryogenic grinding of polymers.

The International Powder & Bulk Solids Conference offers a three-day, four track conference program that which allows attendees the opportunity for either a broad or narrow content focus. The four conference track options include:
* Pneumatic Conveying
* Material Storage & Handling
* Particle Technology
* Dust Collection & Safety
