Food, pet care and confectionery company Mars Inc. recently named former General Mills executive Anton Vincent as the new regional president of Mars Wrigley North America region, a company press release announced Monday.

In his 20 years in the food industry, Vincent has served as president of the Baking division, president of the Frozen Frontier division, and president of the U.S. Snacks division at General Mills. Most recently, he occupied the role of U.S. chief executive officer of convenience foods manufacturing firm Greencore Group plc.

“I am very excited to be joining the Mars business,” Vincent said in a statement. “I have long admired Mars’ deep history, global footprint, and truly iconic brands, and I look forward to the opportunity to lead our talented teams to help bring more smiles to millions of customers.”

The new position becomes effective on May 20. Vincent will replace Tracey Massey, who was recently promoted to Global President, Mars Pet Nutrition at Mars Petcare. She is slated to assume her new position on June 3.

During Massey’s tenure as regional president of Mars Wrigley North America region, she spearheaded the company’s integration of the Mars Wrigley business in the Americas. She has worked for Mars for over two decades.
