Crews were called to the Carboline chemical manufacturing plant in Green Bay, WI on Thursday after combustible liquids caught on fire in the facility, according to local news reports and the local fire department. 

Responding to the Elizabeth Street site at 7:20 p.m., firefighters arrived and found flames inside the plant, the Green Bay Metro Fire Department said in a post to its Facebook page. 

“Additional alarms were called due to the nature of the hazards involved. Companies quickly extinguished the fire in less than 20 minutes,” the fire department said. “All employees self-evacuated and there was one civilian injury.”

Officials estimate that the blaze caused a loss of $150,000. An investigation into the incident is ongoing, television news station WFRV reported.

Carboline is a manufacturer of coatings, linings, and fireproofing materials, the company’s website states. The company operates in more than 90 countries.
