Sweco Opens New Manufacturing Facility in Shanghai

Located in Maqiao, which is 40 minutes south of Shanghai, Sweco’s newest 16,000-sq-ft manufacturing facility plant will initially manufacture selected screens currently being manufactured in Florence, KY and shipped to Singapore. Plans for the future include a more diversified product line and will support the China and Eastern Asia markets.

James Wong, Sweco’s Asia Managing Director said, “This new facility allows us to better serve our customers in China and countries in East Asia. Together with our facilities in India and Singapore, it geographically completes Sweco’s establishment in the entire Asia market. We are confident Sweco’s business will continue to expand in this growing market”.

This is the 11th manufacturing location for Sweco. Others include: Florence, KY; Macon, GA; Tulsa, OK; Nivelles, Belgium (Europe Headquarters); Edinburgh, Scotland; Berra, Italy; Mumbai, India; Singapore (Asia Headquarters); Tlalnepantla, Mexico; and Victoria, Australia.
