SOCMA Announces 88th Annual Dinner

The Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA) will celebrate the year’s successes during its 88th Annual Dinner in New York City on December 7, 2009 at the New York Marriott Marquis Times Square.

SOCMA’s Annual Dinner is a time-honored tradition that will feature an awards ceremony for the winners of SOCMA’s Performance Improvement Awards sponsored by the ChemStewards Program, as well as a pre-dinner reception for the winners. SOCMA’s Performance Improvement awards honor ChemStewards participants’ achievements in environmental, health, safety, and security measures, as well as educational outreach in their communities.

The evening’s festivities will include entertainment by Tim Lee, a comedian who uses his scientific background to bring thought provoking comedy to his audience. His unique blend of stand-up with science and PowerPoint visuals has made him a favorite at comedy clubs across the country.
