Honeywell has announced that it has acquired IRIS Systems Inc., a privately-held provider of flame monitoring systems for industrial process applications. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed. With the addition of IRIS Systems’ complementary product portfolio, Honeywell’s Environment, Combustion and Controls (ECC) business will be able to significantly expand its existing flame detection offering and broaden the segments it serves in the industrial flame monitoring market. IRIS Systems provides a variety of flame detection products used in power generation, pulp and paper, industrial boilers, and other industrial combustion applications for more than 30 years.
