Performix Inc., a provider of next generation manufacturing execution, recipe management, and batch solutions for the chemical, pharmaceutical, and high-tech industries, announced the appointment of Brian Ghannam as director of sales, responsible for leading sales, business development, and alliances.

“We are pleased to have Ghannam join our team,” said Sham Afzalpurkar, president and CEO of Performix. “He has been an exceptional performer and leader for some of the most successful organizations in manufacturing. His experience with SAP and Visiprise will undoubtedly help bolster Performix’s business development and sales efforts.”

Prior to joining Performix, Ghannam served as director of alliances for SAP’s Perfect Plant Sales Organization. In this role, Ghannam worked with partners and sales to drive software revenue to SAP and grow the Perfect Plant partner ecosystem. Before SAP, Ghannam served as director of business development at Visiprise Inc., where he managed a global partnership with SAP and achieved SAP’s highest partner level for Visiprise prior to it being acquired by SAP in July 2008.

“I’m excited to have the opportunity to work with the Performix team as they continue to expand their footprint and align themselves with some of the most influential brands in the manufacturing industry,” said Ghannam. “Performix’s next generation MES, recipe management, and batch solution is the right choice for manufacturers trying to operate in today’s economic climate. It can be easily installed eliminating the complexity, cost, and time associated with most MES solutions allowing customers to focus on their business, streamline manufacturing processes, and accelerate time-to-market.”
