92378.tifWeighing and Inspection System
The XS3 AdvanChek X-ray CombiWeigher combines checkweighing and x-ray inspection technologies in one space-saving system. A complete product inspection combination system, it not only performs highly accurate over and underweight checkweighing, but simultaneously inspects products for physical contaminants such as glass, metal, stone, bone, and high-density plastics. The unit includes a true checkweigher with EMFR weigh cell technology for accurate dynamic weighing that fulfills all local Weights and Measures regulations (MID certified). The versatile CombiWeigher is built to the highest safety standards in the industry and is compliant with IRR 1999. With its HACCP-compliant stainless-steel (V2A) design and sealing up to IP65, the system meets strict hygiene standards and is ideal for harsh environments. 92379.tifFlow Aid Controller
The Bridge Breaker Controller (BBC) is a self-contained unit capable of operating a variety of flow aid devices (FADs) for the purpose of ensuring material flows freely thru a hopper, bin, or silo, even at variable flow rates. It can control various devices such as Thayer’s Bridge Breaker, electric or pneumatic vibrators, air cannons, air pads, or combinations thereof. An advantage of the BBC is the ability to finely control the on/off time of the FADs. In particular, the BBC has the ability to be synchronized with a measurement of the outgoing material flow rate from a feeder or metering device. This way, the FADs are activated only as often as is necessary. Using a FAD too often can cause problems with the material discharge as well as being a waste of energy. The BBC can also tie (link) channels together, which allows cascading of the FADs to effectively and efficiently keep the material moving. Thayer Scale, Pembroke, MA 781-826-8101 www.thayerscale.com

Static Dissipative Hose
The FlexStat static dissipative hose prevents static buildup and reduces the potential for explosions in powder handling, plastics extrusion, and related applications. The hose features a seven strand copper ground wire embedded in a static dissipative thermoplastic polyurethane alloy that uses an inherently dissipative polymer (IDP) system to provide clean, permanent ESD protection. Highly flexible and abrasion resistant, this hose has a smooth interior and is available in six sizes from 1 ¼ to 2½ in. I.D. Fully tested for continuity prior to shipment, the hose provides 1 × 1011 Ω/square surface resistivity and 2 × 1010 Ω-cm, per ASTM D-257. Offered in custom colors and lengths, the clear versions provide visual contents viewing and the external helix enhances flexibility. Applications include pneumatic conveying and pressure and vacuum lines. Flexaust, Warsaw, IN 800-343-0428  www.flexaust.com

92381.tifTwin Fluidizing Paddle Blender
The TFPB twin fluidizing paddle blender offers mixing speed and efficiency with low equipment cost and consumed power. Fluidization overcomes the negative effects of gravity that cause roll-apart segregation. This enhanced mixing technology is achieved with twin, non-overlapping agitators of defined geometry at higher rotational speeds that mechanically fluidize ingredients. Particles of vastly differing size, shape, and density can be precisely and efficiently mixed. The unit mixes five times faster than a ribbon blender with less degradation. Other features include easy cleanout and low heat generation due to friction. American Process – Member Eirich Group, Gurnee, IL  847-406-1311 www.eirichusa.com

92382.tifPretorqueable Rupture Disc Holders
Fike recently added the TQ+ to its line of pretorqueable rupture disc holders. The pretorqueable holder allows rupture discs to be installed and then “torqued” to recommended static load levels, properly clamping the rupture disc within the assembly. For added convenience and to reduce the possibility of assembly errors, this can take place at a workbench, rather than in the field where conditions could be less than ideal. The TQ+ was designed with the ability to be installed in multiple international flange rating configurations, including ANSI, JIS, DIN, and ISO, making it quite versatile for a wide range of applications. The holders may also be removed, inspected, and re-installed during routine maintenance and plant turnarounds, without compromising disc performance, provided the disc is not removed.  Fike, Blue Springs, MO 800-937-3453 www.fike.com
