ACC and SOCMA Announce Agenda for Global Chemical Regulation Conference

This year’s GlobalChem Conference and Expo is being held in Baltimore, March 21-23, 2011, and will provide chemical industry professionals a unique opportunity to interact with experts in areas like the U.S. Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), the European Union’s Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH). Participants will also hear the latest updates on key developments in international markets, emerging science issues, hazard communication, and more.

Conference highlights include a TSCA Fundamentals Workshop and a special session on the Inventory Update Reporting (IUR) Proposed Rule, which will include a comprehensive review of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) proposed IUR modifications and an interactive demonstration of the 2011 electronic reporting tool, e-IURweb. The conference will also feature REACH Post-Registration Experiences and Lessons Learned, an OSHA Update on GHS implementation, and sessions on transparency and intellectual property issues in chemical management.
