The program for the International Powder & Bulk Solids Conference, August 24-25 at the Donald P. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL, is the largest concentration of dry processing and bulk solids engineering expertise in the Western Hemisphere. The speaking faculty is composed of the leading experts working in the field today.
Designed for new and experienced processing professionals, the Conference provides an opportunity to learn how to solve the difficult challenges presented by powder and bulk solids processes across the domains of safety, product quality, material behavior, storage, and conveying.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the program has been adjusted this year to ensure a safe event, as well as a high-value technical conference. Despite these adjustments, the Conference will still offer the in-depth, practical technical training for which it has been known for 45 years. Attendees can brush up on the fundamentals or tackle more advanced topics and connect with the experts needed to solve the toughest problems in your manufacturing process.
Taking place in-person over two full days, the Conference program spans three tracks and four technical subject areas: Material, Storage, and Flow; Conveying; Processing & Quality; Safety & Hazard Management. Each day begins with a keynote address, and the agenda includes 24 workshops, seminars, and talks from sector leaders. Whether you are a new engineer looking to deepen your expertise or an industry veteran looking to refresh your skills and knowledge, you'll get in-depth, hands-on training you can't find elsewhere. In addition to the Conference, the exhibition Center Stage offers additional talks covering a broad range of general interest subjects, from emerging markets to innovative technologies.
IEEE Continuing Education Credits
For the first time in the event’s 45-year history, the Powder Show Conference will offer attendees the opportunity to earn Continuing Education Credits (CEUs).
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) will offer its valuable accreditation to All-Access and One-Day Access Conference pass holders. Whether you are looking to expand your resume or simply renew or sustain a professional license, IEEE CEUs can help you meet training requirements for thousands of companies around the US, stand out to employers by strengthening your resume and expertise, and maintain your engineering license (currently 30 states require PDHs for P.E. licensure).
IEEE accreditation allows the Conference to offer an unparalleled technical education experience with a quantifiable benefit to attendees.
How it Works
For every hour spent attending Conference sessions, you'll receive one PDH. The extensive program includes 30 hours of technical educational content and discussion. Once you've accrued 10 PDHs, you can receive a CEU and an official IEEE certificate. Any additional hours can be used toward future accreditation.
3 Steps to IEEE Credits
To receive the credits, you need to get an all-access or one-day Conference pass and build your schedule (be sure to scan your badge before each session). Then fill out the IEEE evaluation form and submit it to email@example.com. Once you've accrued 10 PDHs, you can receive a CEU and an official IEEE certificate. Any additional hours can be used toward future accreditation.
The Powder Show's in-depth curriculum of expert-led, hands-on training is curated and presented by the best and brightest in the processing industry. With four technical subject areas and three concurrent tracks, attendees can choose from sessions geared toward new entrants into the industry as well as experienced pros. From step-by-step training designed to help manage safety hazards, to strategies for reducing downtime, increasing efficiencies, and improving changeover times, attendees will widen their processing knowledge with tips, tricks, and the combined experience of the speaking faculty. This comprehensive program will provide the in-depth education and training needed to advance careers in industries like food processing, chemicals and plastics, pharmaceuticals, additive manufacturing, and more.
Learn from the Dry Processing Industry's Best
The Powder Show's Conference is a rare opportunity to tap into the expertise of industry leaders on topics ranging from standards and regulations to understanding the nature of powders & bulk solid materials and how the unique characteristics of materials impacts the process (and vice versa).
Attendees will learn new ways to think about and apply processing technologies and study real-world examples.
Attendees can build a Conference itinerary that incorporates topics important to them. Included is everything from the basics to advanced topics, with each expert-led session vetted by the event’s board of advisors to ensure it is a high-quality learning experience.
