Tyson Foods' Unit Recalls Beef Patties

AdvancePierre Foods is voluntarily recalling 15,738 pounds of CN Fully Cooked Flamebroiled Beef Patties.

The recall is limited to foodservice, and affected products are not available for purchase in retail stores. This product was sent to a single customer in Iowa. No other AdvancePierre Foods products are affected.

AdvancePierre Foods received a complaint from a foodservice establishment that reported it found small pieces of soft green plastic in the product. Even though this report involved only two items, out of an abundance of caution, the company is recalling 1,043 cases of product. AdvancePierre Foods has received no reports of injuries or illnesses associated with the affected product.

U.S. Department of Agriculture has classified this as a Class II recall with a low health risk.

The product was produced at one plant location on September 11, 2019. Each 15.09-lb bulk-packed case and bears the establishment code 2132, a product code 69097 on the case label and a lot code of 2549ACO06.
