Volkmann Expands U.S. Headquarters

Volkmann Inc. recently almost doubled its U.S. headquarters facility, now occupying 8500 sq ft in a Keystone Industrial Park in Bristol, PA.

A manufacturer of vacuum conveying systems, Volkmann now offers its customers a dedicated test facility, as well as more rapid turnaround on parts delivery due to expanded warehousing space for inventory.

“We were excited about the space we had in this Bristol facility when we moved in June of 2014,” said Volkmann president, Nick Hayes. “But we were using some space in our warehouse to do pilot tests for our customers and found we just didn’t have enough room to keep up with demand.”

There is now a 750-sq-ft dedicated test lab in Volkmann’s expanded facility, as well as a lab conference area to review processes with customers. Adjacent to the test facility is a static display of the Volkmann product line where conveying capacity can be demonstrated.

This increase of the U.S. facility comes on the heels of a major expansion of the German corporate and manufacturing headquarters of Volkmann GmbH in 2014. This enlargement included state-of-the-art classrooms and product demonstration areas where the company holds customer seminars and training sessions each year.
