Chemical technology firm Snapdragon Chemistry opened a new GMP manufacturing and process development facility in the Boston area on May 9, expanding its capacity for clinical intermediates and drug substances.

“With their GMP manufacturing facility right in the heart of the Massachusetts biotech hub, Snapdragon is the ideal collaboration partner to deliver innovator molecules to clinic,” the company wrote in a recent release announcing the debut of the location.

The new facility houses four new GMP kilo-labs and is staffed by scientists and engineers. Snapdragon’s site utilizes computer and automation technology to solve complex process and analytical development challenges, as well as deep process understanding to design and rapidly execute efficient GMP manufacturing processes.

Snapdragon’s headquarters and R&D and manufacturing facilities are in Waltham, MA.
