Wilson Appointed President of Crown Food Packaging North America

Crown Holdings Inc. has announced that James D. Wilson has been promoted to president, Crown Food Packaging North America. The promotion marks Wilson’s return to the food business, where he served as vice president, sales & marketing for four years. Most recently, Wilson was president of Crown’s North American aerosol business, a position he has held since 2007.

“We are pleased to have Jim back in the food business, an area he knows well and will continue to grow thanks to his strong focus on organizational improvements and customer service,” says Raymond L. McGowan, president of Crown’s Americas Division. “We are confident that under Jim’s guidance, Crown will continue to play a key role in building customers’ brands with convenient, innovative packaging."

A key technology in Crown Food Packaging North America’s portfolio is Easylift easy-open ends, which respond to market needs for better openability and enhanced visual appeal.

Prior to joining Crown in 2003, Wilson amassed commercial and general management experience at Reynolds Metals and Alcoa.

Wilson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State Polytechnic University and a Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University.
