Buckhorn, a North American leader in reusable plastic packaging and material handling systems, has announced that Rob Tieman has been named director of sales & marketing. In this new position, Tieman assumes all responsibility for conducting the sales and marketing initiatives of Buckhorn, which is based in Milford, OH and designs and manufactures a wide range of plastic containers and pallets providing custom interior dunnage to protect products.
 
Buckhorn is part of the Material Handling Group of Myers Industries Inc., which also includes Akro-Mils, a leading manufacturer of reusable plastic storage, organization, and transport products designed to improve handling efficiency, maximize space usage, and promote clean and safe work environments.  
 
Prior to joining Buckhorn, Tieman gained more than 19 years of sales and marketing management experience in industrial manufacturing environments. Most recently, he held the position of vice president, sales & marketing for Gold Medal Products Co. in Cincinnati, where he focused on servicing distributors and securing key national accounts. Also, at Aristech Acrylics LLC, a global leader in the manufacturing of thermoplastic cast acrylic sheet, Tieman spent 12 years holding various positions, including business director. Tieman’s duties included new product and market development, ongoing service sales and technical support, and negotiating supply contracts.
