Just in time for March Madness, the NCAA college tournament for basketball, Hormel Foods comes out with Hardcourt Smoked Black Label Bacon.

Hormel's signature Black Label Bacon will give some of college basketball's — and bacon's — fans the chance to taste the most elite smoked meat. Hardcourt Smoked Hormel Black Label Bacon is a first-of-its-kind bacon smoked with the actual northern cherry maple wood that is used to make the final floors of the 2023 college basketball tournament.

From March 13 through March 20, 2023, fans can take a shot at the ultimate taste of victory by registering for a chance to win one of 68 commemorative packages of the new Hardcourt Smoked Hormel Black Label Bacon.

Each commemorative pack includes a stack of Hardcourt Smoked Bacon, a certificate of authenticity, collectible maple wood chips, and coupons for more Hormel Bacon products.

The bacon maker also uses other maple, pecan wood, and apple wood for its other products, which include raw bacon, cooked bacon, stack packs, and Canadian bacon.

Hormel Foods ranked #23 on Barron's Most Sustainable US Companies list just last week.
