Bemis Company Elects Ullem Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Bemis Company, Inc. has announced that its Board of Directors has elected Scott B. Ullem as vice president and chief financial officer. Ullem succeeds Gene C. Wulf, who will assume the new role of executive vice president. The elections were in accordance with the company’s succession plan that was approved by the Board and announced February 4, 2010.

Ullem joined Bemis in 2008 as vice president of finance. Prior to joining Bemis, he served as co-head of diversified industries in Bank of America’s Global Corporate & Investment Banking Div. Ullem worked at Bank of America from 2005 to 2008. Prior to Bank of America, he spent 14 years at Goldman Sachs in New York and Chicago, most recently as a managing director in the Investment Banking Div. Ullem received his Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University and his Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

In his new role as executive vice president, Wulf will focus on the integration of the acquired Alcan Packaging Food Americas business in addition to his responsibilities related to Bemis’ global corporate strategy and information technology. Wulf held the position of chief financial officer since 2002. Prior, Wulf was controller of Bemis from 1998 to 2002, and was elected an officer in May 1997.
