Energy services and equipment firm Schlumberger is preparing to launch a $11.5 million project to consolidate its North Gulf Coast (NGC) divisions and renovate its operations hub in Lafayette, LA. The effort is intended to support the company’s activities in the northern Gulf of Mexico region.

“We are excited to announce our expansion in Lafayette, where we will be able to better support our Gulf of Mexico customers with a central location optimizing logistics and supply chain, and a highly skilled workforce providing more efficient servicing and maintenance of our equipment,” Lyndal Cissell, managing director, North America Offshore for Schlumberger, said in a recent Louisiana Economic Development (LED) release.

The facility will be known as the North Gulf Coast Operations Hub when the renovation project reaches completion. Schlumberger expects work at the former Pathfinder office building in Lafayette to finish in 2025. 44 new jobs will be created through the investment.
