KWS Promotes Ian Smith to Manager of Engineered Sales

KWS Manufacturing Company, Ltd, a leading manufacturer of screw conveyors in the U.S., has promoted Ian Smith to manager of engineered sales.

Smith has been with KWS for more than three years in the role of regional sales manager. Smith is a 2006 graduate of Tuskegee University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also received his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Dallas Baptist University in 2011.    

“We are very proud to have Ian as our manager of engineered sales,” said Bill Mecke, P.E., president of KWS. “Ian’s engineering background and MBA will help KWS serve our customers better and grow our engineered business. Ian has been our most successful regional sales manager over the past three years and he deserves the promotion.

KWS has experienced greater than 500-percent growth in revenue over the last 10 years and has become one of the largest conveyor manufacturers in North America. KWS also provides process equipment, such as thermal processors, continuous and batch mixers, and classifiers. Many projects include complete system design with hoppers, structural supports, and controls as part of an engineered solution.
