The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) reported that its December 2013 booked orders decreased 6.0% when compared to December 2012 orders, but were up 11% when compared to November 2013 booked orders.
When compared to November, December booked orders were down 15.0% for Bulk Handling Equipment and up 26.7% for Unit Handling Equipment.
CEMA’s December 2013 billed sales (shipments) increased by 2.3% when compared to December 2012 sales, but decreased 3.4% when compared to November 2013 billed sales.
December billed sales were down 6.9% for Bulk Handling Equipment and down 1.1% for Unit Handling Equipment when compared to November.
