The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) reported that its March 2013 booked orders increased 7.2% when compared to March 2012 orders. When compared to February 2013, March 2013 booked orders were up 23.6%.
March booked orders were up 10.6% for Bulk Handling Equipment and up 32.6% for Unit Handling Equipment when compared to February.
CEMA’s March 2013 billed sales (shipments) decreased by 8.2% when compared to March 2012 sales. When compared to February 2013, March 2013 billed sales were up 1.2%.
March billed sales were up 9.7% for Bulk Handling Equipment and down 5.0% for Unit Handling Equipment when compared to February.
