Conveyor Engineering & Manufacturing has announced a partnership with German-based Andritz Fiedler. This partnership will allow Conveyor Engineering to incorporate the precision drilling technology of high-quality Andritz press screens with its own high-performance screw presses, and to replace worn screens on presses made by other manufacturers. By joining forces, this union will deliver higher efficiencies and reduce maintenance costs, resulting in higher profits to sugar plants.

“We have used their products for the inner screens of our presses for years now with great success so we are looking forward to working with them as partners to better service the U.S. sugar beet industry,” said Graig Cone, owner of Conveyor Engineering & Manufacturing.

Andritz Fielder achieves reduced energy costs and lower maintenance in a number of ways:

•Effective open area of screens optimized for maximum dewatering performance
•Bicylindrical conical geometry of drilled holes to reduce risk of clogging
•Non-perforated zones custom to each press for higher stability and less deformation
•Carefully selected materials for higher stability and longer life (Rather than commonly used 304SS, Andritz screens are made with Duplex stainless steel, resulting in less deformation, longer wear, and higher corrosion resistance)

This drilling technology allows for the optimal dewatering performance, leading to lower energy consumption required for drying. With this technology, sugar plants will realize increased capacity, reduced energy demand, higher efficiencies, higher product quality, longer equipment life, and reduced maintenance costs.

Conveyor Engineering is confident that this partnership will complement its high-quality screw presses and deliver a superior product to the sugar beet industry.
