Conveying Equipment Orders Soar 56%

The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) reported that its September 2021 booked orders increased by 56.12% when compared to September 2020 and 6.15% compared to August 2021. August booked orders had increased 55.76% compared to July 2021.

September 2021 booked orders for bulk handling equipment increased 3.87% compared to August 2021. September 2021 booked orders for unit handling equipment increased 6.46% when compared to August 2021.

CEMA’s September 2021 billed sales (shipments) increased by 42.14% compared to September 2020 and 5.68% compared to August 2021. This contrasts with the August 2021 increase of 2.46% when compared to July 2021.

September 2021 billed sales for bulk handling equipment decreased 2.84% when compared to August 2021. This decrease follows a 4.40% increase for August 2021 vs. July 2021. September 2021 billed sales for unit handling equipment increased 7.5% when compared to August 2021. The increase compares to an increase of 2.06% for last month (August 2021) vs. July 2021.
