Salty snacks manufacturer Utz Brands Inc. recently announced two new appointments to its executive leadership team (ELT) that the company said will help the company succeed over the coming years.

Shane Chambers, who most recently served as chief executive officer of Utz’s Truco/ON THE BORDER division, was named as the executive vice president and chief growth officer of Utz Brands. He will report to the firm’s CEO Dylan Lisette. Chambers brings a background in general management, brand strategy, and innovation to the role. In the position, he will be in charge of Utz’s marketing and branding teams, strategic growth initiatives, consumer facing innovation, and leading its M&A strategy. He will remain responsible for integrating Truco into Utz and driving growth in the ON THE BORDER chips and dips brand.

Utz Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer, Sales and Marketing Mark Schreiber was appointed executive vice president of sales and chief customer officer. The new role involves leading all aspects of sales as it relates to both distribution and customers. He will also take on responsibility for sales in the Truco/ON THE BORDER division and manage trade marketing/revenue management and category/shopper insights.

“As we continue to grow as a public company, we believe that these changes to the team will continue to accelerate Utz’s ability to grow and evolve into a stronger company,” Lisette said in a statement. “We continue to see strong sales momentum as we unlock new ways to grow our Power Brands across the US, and we look forward to the positive contributions these changes will bring to the business.”

Powder & Bulk Solids reported in May that Utz entered into a definitive agreement to purchase chips and snacks manufacturer Festida Foods from Great Lakes Festida Holdings Inc. and related entities for $41 million. The company produces corn chips, tortilla chips and pellet snacks and is currently the largest manufacturer of Utz’s On The Border brand of tortilla chips. Utz acquired Truco Enterprises, the producer of the On The Border brand, in late 2020 for $480 million.
