Food and Beverage Flavors Maker to Open New US Plant

Food and beverage flavors supplier T. Hasegawa USA Inc. announced Tuesday that construction is underway on a new 60,000-sq-ft manufacturing facility for sweet flavors in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. The company said the project will double the firm’s production capabilities in the US.

After the new location opens in 2022, the company intends to relocate operations from its Corona, CA manufacturing site to the larger facility in Rancho Cucamonga. Production of sweet flavors at its Cerritos, CA will also be transferred to the new plant.

“We have experienced organic growth in recent years and outgrown our original manufacturing facilities as we continue to expand our world-class food and beverage flavor development,” Tom Damiano, chief executive officer of T. Hasegawa USA, said in a statement. “The new Rancho Cucamonga location is significantly larger than our existing US manufacturing facility in Cerritos and will serve as a platform for future growth.”

The project will also expand T. Hasegawa USA’s flavor production capabilities and technology and create a range of new positions.

“The expansive Rancho Cucamonga facility will increase our company headcount by more than 30% over the next five years,” said Damiano. “The positions we will be filling at our plant are highly-skilled, well-paying jobs in manufacturing, R&D, and other specialty areas. We’re committed to developing a world-class team that will continue our rapid growth in the US market.”

T. Hasegawa USA said it will invest in an expansion of its manufacturing facilities for savory flavors in Cerritos when the Rancho Cucamonga project reaches completion.
