Drying Equipment Fire Reported at ADM Plant

Firefighters were sent to the agribusiness’ soybean processing plant in Lincoln, NE Wednesday morning after the equipment caught on fire.

Firefighters were dispatched to the Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) soybean processing plant in Lincoln, NE in the early hours of Wednesday morning, according to a report by KLKN. A call on the fire was received around 1 a.m.

The plant’s staff evacuated the structure after a smoldering fire ignited in a dryer, the news station said. Coverage noted that officials were worried that flames and heat could impact other machines in the facility during the response.

No injuries were recorded, the broadcaster wrote. Estimates on damages were unavailable.
