Ajinomoto Health & Nutrition North America Opens New HQ in Illinois

The 55,000-sq-ft facility in Itasca, IL features a new Customer Engagement Center, sensory evaluation lab, and more.

Amino acid-based products developer and manufacturer Ajinomoto Health & Nutrition North America Inc. recently unveiled its new North American corporate headquarters in Itasca, IL.

“We are incredibly excited about our new headquarters that provides all the working, meeting, and demonstration space we need to meet evolving customer and employee needs.,” Ryan Smith, executive vice president of Ajinomoto Health & Nutrition’s Solutions & Ingredients division, said in a recent release. “The new space builds on our company’s 110-year history as food science and technology pioneers, positioning us to serve as a connected solutions partner to our clients for years to come.”

The 55,000-sq-ft facility includes a new Customer Engagement Center that features a culinary kitchen with video and steaming capabilities, as well as a new sensory evaluation lab for real-time analysis of product development efforts. Ajinomoto Health & Nutrition’s Itasca site also has an event auditorium and space to allow staff and customers to maintain social distance during meetings.

“Our new Customer Engagement Center gives us the technology and physical space that we need to adapt to our customers’ needs. Customers have the option to participate in demonstrations or receive ongoing support in either a hands-on, in-person format or a virtual, interactive session. That flexibility is a gamechanger for us,” Chef Chris Koetke, corporate executive chef at Ajinomoto Health & Nutrition, said in a statement.
