Air Handler Catches on Fire at Bunge Grain Elevator

Firefighters were dispatched to the Bunge Milling grain elevator in Danville, IL Monday night after a fire started in an air handler, several local news organizations reported.

Crews arrived on scene just after 11 p.m. and determined the flames were coming from a piece of air handling equipment on the facility’s sixth floor, according to a post on the Danville Firefighters Local 429 – Illinois page on Facebook.  

News radio station Vermillion County First said that fire personnel were still on scene looking for hot spots as of 11:30 p.m.

No injuries were reported during the incident, per coverage by television news station WCIA.
