Oseco’s MV-RD explosion vent is manufactured with a dome design to withstand high-cycling applications and with vacuums of up to 12 psig. Such characteristics reduce maintenance needs and increase the vent’s service life. The MV-RD is available in a variety of sizes and specifications, and is designed to meet NFPA 68 requirements.

Hinged on one side, the MV-RD is also a non-fragmenting vent and is used on storage bins, dust collectors, bag houses, or any vessel involved with the storage, collection, or conveyance of explosive dust.

“Ignition of small particles is a major safety hazard in an industrial facility, especially when those particles are contained in an enclosed vessel,” explained Shawn McCorkle, Oseco’s engineered solutions manager. “In the event of deflagration, our MV-RD explosion vent will open instantaneously to relieve pressure safely, thereby saving lives and protecting equipment from explosion.”

Common sizes of the MV-RD are available with a two-day lead time through Oseco’s Explosion Vent Stocking Program.

Oseco will be featuring the MV-RD vent in booth 2807 at the 2014 Powder Show, May 6-8 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.
