15 Injured in Cement Plant Explosion

Fifteen people were injured – 11 critically – when a boiler exploded at a Birla Cement plant in Chittorgarh district's Chanderiya in northwest India Sunday.

According to police, coal caught fire as the temperature rose in the coil plant. After the explosion, the burning coal fell on workers below. The critically injured were reported to have burns over 70 percent of their bodies.

An investigation was underway.
