Dust Explosion Reported at Wisconsin Feed Mill

Firefighters from three municipalities worked to put out a fire in a dust collection unit on Thursday at the Synergy Cooperative feed facility near Elk Mound, WI, ABC News affiliate WQOW reported. 

A dust explosion reportedly occurred in a fertilizer leg pipe in the evening hours, Synergy Cooperative told WQOW. Operations at the facility were paused following the incident as an investigation was conducted. 

No injuries were logged during the incident, according to coverage by news website 715Newsroom.com. 

Synergy Cooperative’s website describes its Elk Mound facility as a feed mill. The agricultural cooperative operates throughout northwest Wisconsin.
