C&W Manufacturing Announces New Hires

C&W Manufacturing announces the hiring of Mike Evins as industrial applications engineer and John Davidson as Midwest regional sales manager and national sales manager for industrial applications.

Evins will be heading the engineering initiative to develop business in true industrial application areas such as metals, plastics, chemicals, and food. C&W plans to develop its business in these areas while continuing to concentrate and aggressively drive its core ready mix and concrete-related business.

Evins studied Mechanical Engineering at Arkansas State University. He began his post-university career in a design capacity, where he worked on large scale commercial relocations. His passion for engineering and design eventually led him to the dust collection industry, where he jumped in feet-first and has spent the last 10 years.

Evins has an impressive breadth of knowledge in the dust control industry. He has been all over the world in his dust control adventures. He has seen dust control in action in India, Peru, Malaysia, Chile, Mongolia, Indonesia, and many other places around the world. His main focus is in product and application management.

Combustible dust has been a focus in Evins’ career, working with several pharmaceutical companies managing highly potent pharmaceutical dust particulates. He worked with Eli Lilly, Pfizer, Bristol-Meyers Squibb, and others.

Evins also has experience in dust collection in open-pit mining applications. He has seen mining operations all over the world and knows their dust collection needs. Most of his experience is in open-pit copper mines.

As national sales manager for industrial applications, Davidson will be heading C&W’s new initiative to develop business in true industrial application areas such as metals, plastics, chemicals, and food. The company plans to develop its business in these areas, while continuing to concentrate and aggressively drive its core ready mix and concrete-related business.

Davidson will also be the Midwest regional sales manager for the ready mix and concrete-related applications, and will support and further develop our current dealers and OEM’s in the Midwest.

Davidson has nearly a decade of experience in air pollution control and industrial manufacturing, and comes to this new role with vast experience in sales coupled with an engineering degree. His previous role was regional sales manager at Camfil APC, a global filtration company, so he has experience in expanding markets, technical system design, and building long-term, trusted customer relationships.

Davidson gained technical experience growing up on a farm and then different manufacturing jobs after high school. He started in assembly line work for power tools, aluminum wheel foundry, tool box manufacture for injection molding, and a printing press. After spending three years in those different facilities, he decided to join the Air Force, where he was a jet engine mechanic on C-130 aircraft and a leader in troubleshooting systems to get the planes back up in the air to accomplish war time missions.

During his tenure in the Air Force Davidson received numerous awards, including the Commendation Medal and the Air Force Achievement Medal. He had the opportunity to make several deployments while in the Air Force.

After leaving the Airforce, Davidson received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Arkansas State University, where he received the President’s Award and Outstanding Student award in Mechanical Engineering. Upon leaving college, he worked his way up in the field starting out in the plant as a drafting engineer intern. From there he has continued to develop his technical, sales, and management skills, and moved up to the mid-south regional manager at Camfil APC (known as Camfil Farr).
