Conveyor Drying Theory Seminar

Bühler Aeroglide, a global leader in thermal process engineering and technology for food, feed, and industrial materials, will hold a drying seminar in Barcelona, Spain, on September 24-26, 2014. The seminar is designed to help customers recognize the principles and techniques for optimal drying, regardless of the conveyor dryer make or model.
 
"Convection conveyor dryers are large consumers of production line energy, and many operate as much as 30 percent below their potential efficiency," said Joe Tordella, manager of field engineering at Bühler Aeroglide. "Even in smaller production lines, this is a major source of lost revenue. It's important to know a dryer's energy usage. We teach the mechanical functions, as well as the principles of drying. Then, attendees are asked to produce a product using the best drying practices."  
 
The Conveyor Drying Theory Put to Practice seminar explores drying basics including parameters, balancing, evaluating, mechanical inspections, and troubleshooting with a dryer simulation. Participants learn how to apply drying theory to enhance the performance of conveyor drying equipment. By learning how to adjust and regulate the process for the desired outcome, customers find hidden areas of opportunity in the drying process. In the long run, this can mean significant savings in energy costs and gains in processing capacity.  
 
The three-day-interactive training program was created for plant managers, project managers, plant engineers, quality control personnel, and dryer operators. It also teaches advanced drying concepts and measurement practices in a hands-on lab session combined with advance calculation methods used for dryer sizing.
