Estée Lauder Companies Names New Group President

American personal care products firm Estée Lauder Companies appointed a new Group President this month to lead the firm’s new foray into fragrances.

Makeup and personal care products manufacturer and marketer The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) promoted Stéphane de La Faverie to the role of Group President this month, the company announced in a recent release. In the position, de La Faverie will head up ELC’s newly-created third brand cluster of artisanal and luxury fragrances.

He will also draw upon her experience in the skin care segment to further differentiation of cult-favorite brands produced by ELC and pursue opportunities in China and Travel Retail.

“Stéphane’s unique ability to cultivate and honor the brand’s authentic roots while simultaneously connecting with consumers of all ages, backgrounds, and ethnicities, has helped make Estée Lauder one of the world’s most beloved prestige beauty brands,” the company said in the release. “He has continued to reinforce Estée Lauder’s aspirational positioning through elevated brand storytelling and disruptive partnership including cult streetwear designer KITH and Japanese graffiti artist LADY AIKO.”

de La Faverie was named Global Brand President of Estée Lauder and AERIN in 2016. Before joining ELC, he served as Global Brand President, Origins and Darphin.
