Firefighters were called to the INEOS chemical plant in Lima, OH last Sunday after a tank collapsed at the site, according to local officials.

Crews were dispatched to the Fort Amanda Road facility at 7:59 p.m., Shawnee Township Fire said in a post on its Facebook page.

“Currently there are no injuries, there is no threat to the community, nor was there a threat from this incident,” the fire department said.

Fire personnel stayed on scene for several hours.

INEOS’ plant in Lima was the first facility to manufacture acrylonitrile using a ammoxidation process, information on the company’s website said. Acetonitrile and catalysts used in acrylonitrile production are also made at the site. The 92.4-acre site has a capacity 224 kt/yr.
