Spiroflow to Represent UK-Based Pacepacker Services in North and South America

Pacepacker Services Ltd of the United Kingdom has named Spiroflow Systems Inc. its exclusive North and South American representative to promote, represent, and support the company’s international range of manufactured bagging, pick and place, and robot palletizing systems.

According to Michel Podevyn, president of Spiroflow Systems, the Pacepacker range complements Spiroflow’s existing product line and services provided by its systems, sales, and after sales services groups. Podevyn noted that it also expands Spiroflow’s capability to engineer, design, and supply complete turnkey systems from raw material intake through storage, conveying, processing, and screening to final packaging and palletizing.

Dennis Allison, Pacepacker Services managing director, said that his company and Spiroflow Systems complement each other perfectly and have the same values. “We both manufacture equipment for the bulk handling industry,” Allison noted. “Spiroflow manufactures processing equipment and Pacepacker end-of-the-line solutions which gives us the capability to provide the industry with turnkey systems. Spiroflow also gives us a skilled technical and support staff to install, commission, and support our new equipment in an established facility in the United States that has been in operation since 1991.”

The Pacepacker brand has a history spanning more than 30 years in the design and manufacture of automatic packing systems. Packing systems include pick and place solutions, bag placers, weighing machines, bagging systems, stitchers, heat sealers, and robotic palletizing systems. Systems are ideal for companies working in materials handling such as the food industry, animal feed, aggregrates, grain, and many more.

Pacepacker has also worked as a systems integrator with FANUC robots for the past 15 years supplying pick and place and robot palletizing solutions. The company’s wealth of sector specific knowledge has earned them a ‘FANUC Strategic Partner’ status. This, according to Podevyn, is a testament to Pacepacker’s philosophy to supply innovative equipment that is simple to operate, reliable, effective, and provides a good value for the investment.

Jeffrey A. Dudas, chief executive officer of Spiroflow Systems Inc., added that Spiroflow is committed to launching this exciting product line throughout our distribution network. “Current plans are to hold regular Web-based training sessions and regional hands-on training so that our sales representatives and distributors thoroughly understand the products and their applications,” Dudas noted.

Allison noted that the agreement with Spiroflow Systems also gives Pacepacker the opportunity to explore new markets. “We are currently developing a range of pick and place equipment for a variety of new industries,” Allison noted.  “We feel confident that our collaboration with Spiroflow Systems will enable us to explore new market opportunities and significantly expand our market base.”

Podevyn said that Spiroflow is so committed to the success of this new venture that the company has appointed Jim Gassen as product manager for Pacepacker Products in North and South America. He said that Gassen has been to the Pacepacker headquarters in the United Kingdom where he received extensive training.
