Optipoint Custom Tracking's SimpleTrac Provides GPS Tracking of Individual Shipments for $75

Optipoint Custom Tracking has introduced the simplest method available for companies to precisely track the movement of their shipments across town or across the globe – no strings attached.

SimpleTrac is an innovative new GPS-based asset tracking system that gives customers the ability to monitor the progress of individual shipments without investing in expensive GPS hardware systems, tracking devices or long-term contracts. Through SimpleTrac, shippers can now rent state-of-the-art, self-contained, battery-operated, GPS tracking devices for as little as $75 per trip. The system lets customers pinpoint the exact locations of their shipments from any internet-connected computer in the world.

“SimpleTrac is designed for simplicity,” said Ruben Mirensky, CEO of Optipoint Custom Tracking, a division of IMCO Associates Inc. “There is no need to buy the devices, no contracts, no ties, no commitments. It is simple and straight forward. Customers pick which shipments need to be tracked and they pay only for those they need to track.”

Recognizing that supply chain managers and shipping agencies everywhere are increasing pressured to find ways to cut costs without impacting customer service and satisfaction, Optipoint Custom Tracking developed the SimpleTrac business model to augment the company’s traditional offerings.

SimpleTrac requires only a one-time shipment tracking fee. Optipoint Custom Tracking sends the tracking devices by messenger anywhere in the world at no charge and then pays for them to be returned once the trip is completed. All required documentation is filled out and provided with the devices.

Optipoint Custom Tracking adds invaluable strength to clients’ materials management systems by tailoring logistical tracking solutions to meet particular needs. The company’s experts integrate the latest in Internet-based or stand-alone GPS software with existing ERP and other legacy systems to improve the deployment of mobile assets—whether they are on the road, on rail or in container shipments.

With SimpleTrac, Optipoint Custom Tracking now expands the benefit of its services to forwarding agents, Customs consulting companies and other companies that need to track some of their shipments in the US and around the world at an economical cost and with no obligations attached.

Shippers can rent SimpleTrac services for $480 per year, or $75 per trip. The service enables customers to check the exact location of their shipments by simply logging into a secure web portal from any Internet-connected computer in the world, the location of the asset is updated twice a day.
When shipments are ready to be tracked, Optipoint Custom Tracking remotely activates the rented devices. Once Optipoint Custom Tracking receives a tracking number from the messaging company confirming that the device has been shipped back, the device is deactivated and charges cease.

Mirensky explains, “For example, if a SimpleTrac client wanted to track just those shipments that come out from a certain point and going anywhere in the world. They might have a few containers coming out of that particular point every three or four months. So, they don’t want to rent the device for the whole year or deal with having to return the device from remote destinations. Optipoint Custom Tracking supplies them the devices every time they have shipments coming out of that particular location, at no cost to them. They are able to track just those shipments. Then, the receiving party returns the devices to Optipoint Custom Tracking, at no cost. The only payment the SimpleTrac client pays is $75 per shipment or $15 a week (whichever is higher).”
