The mini vent filter is a filtration system used to separate dust from displaced air when a vessel is filled with bulk solids. The unit can mount directly to a bin’s vent outlet in low air flow situations.

For gravimetric feeder applications, the mini vent filter can be used to mitigate dust sock blinding, resulting in lower maintenance costs and a cleaner production area. Pulse-jet cleaning of the filter media simplifies maintenance and operation. The Mini Vent is offered in both industrial and hygienic designs to meet the application requirements.

Features of the Mini Vent Filter include:

  • Separates dust from displaced air

  • Mitigates dust sock plugging

  • Automated pulse-jet cleaning of the filter media when used with a gravimetric feeder

  • Low flow resistance minimizes pressure spikes

Disassembly of the mini vent filter is done by loosening the bolt on the lid allowing access to the filter, tubesheet, and hopper for quick and easy maintenance. All models of the mini vent filter are constructed in 304 stainless steel and are offered with 4- or 10-in. process connections. The hygienic version of the mini vent has a 3-A RPSCQC* certification for (39-01) Pneumatic Conveyors for Dry Products.   Components used in the product contact zones such as seals and O-rings are constructed with FDA-compliant materials in the hygienic mini vent filter.
