Reciprocating Drawer Magnets

To eliminate the trade-off between effective magnet coverage and potential product “choking,” MPI developed its patented reciprocating drawer magnet (RDM). The RDM features reciprocating tube magnets that act as knives to break up the product as it flows through the tubes, allowing it to travel freely through the drawer magnet. The reciprocating action of the RDM series drawer magnet improves the unit’s ability to capture unwanted metals, resulting in greater magnetic filtration performance. As well as eliminating the potential “bridging” issues of traditional drawer magnets, the RDM is an effective alternative to the commonly used circular rotating grate and housing, which often has mechanical shortcomings and low magnetic performance.
