Aero-mechanical conveyors offer an energy-efficient alternative to pneumatic conveying but correct rope monitoring is essential for optimum operation and maximum rope life. Spiroflow offers an AMC with a patented automatic rope tensioning, monitoring adjustment system. The patented integral ‘ynamic Automatic Rope Tensioner (D.A.R.T.) automatically measures and adjusts rope tension and also indicates when rope replacement is required. This reduces maintenance and energy costs. D.A.R.T.’s continuous monitoring and adjustment results in rope life extension.  Since rope monitoring is automated, maintenance-related down time is minimized, labor costs are reduced, and productivity is naturally increased. Automated rope monitoring is especially significant for larger, taller conveying systems, as it eliminates the need to use scaffolding or long ladders to check tensioning and rope wear. It can easily be retrofitted to many existing aero-mechanical conveyors provided by other vendors
